Projectile on my face. Nearly blinded me but it was fun!

WEEK 5

This week we were instructed to increase the length of our video to one minute. This involved a bit more cutting a decision making on how we wanted our expert to be portrayed. I feel what I chose to show was how Monte wanted his message to sound.

Week 4

Editing was an interesting experience. I don't like the fact that it is only a 30 second video, it makes it really hard to pick and choose what he can say. Overall I am glad to learn the software, I believe the more I have knowledge of the better. I had a lot of fun with the entire process though.

Monte Gerlach - Darkroom 101

My interview was with Monte the expertise of the darkroom. I think this was a great learning expeience first of all. The stationary shots made things seem rather boring but I think we were instructed like that for reason. I'm actually pretty glad because I was already nervous. The stationary pans and tilts were somewhat experimental, but I think they were the easier part of the documentary. The part I am more concerned with is the actual content and hoping I asked the right questions. I feel confident I have enough footage, I just hope I can make Monte look good on the big screen.
